What is NEET?

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the single largest undergraduate medical entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS and Ayush courses - BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, B.V.Sc & AH.

NEET 2020 – National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NEET 2020 on May 3 in pen and paper based mode in 2546 exam centres across 154 cities in India. From 2020, NEET will be the single entrance exam for all UG medical courses in the country including AIIMS and JIPMER. NTA will release the NEET UG 2020 application form on December 2, 2019 and the last date to fill it is December 31. NEET 2020 admit card will be available on March 27 for candidates who have successfully filled the application. After NEET 2020 concludes, candidates can check the NEET answer key by leading coaching centres on exam day. NEET result will be declared on June 4, 2020 in online mode along with the final answer key and qualifying cutoff. NEET qualified candidates can apply for All India counselling conducted by MCI tentatively in June while counselling for state admissions will be thereafter. NEET 2020 latest news and updates

1.October 4, 2019 - AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS entrance examination scrapped from the year 2020 as announced by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Ministry of Health and Welfare. Admissions to both these institutions to be conducted through NEET 2020.

2.August 21, 2019 - NEET exam dates 2020 has been announced by the conducting authority. Aforementioned, NEET 2020 will be held on May 3, while the registration process will start from December 2, 2019.

NEET Important Dates 2020

National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates of NEET 2020 through an official notification on August 21, 2019. NEET Eligibility Criteria 2020

Only candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria of NEET can apply and appear for the test. NEET eligibility criteria will detail the nationality, age limit of candidates as well as the qualifying exam studied, subjects and pass percentage for the same. NEET UG Eligibility Criteria 2020

2.Age Limit : Candidates must at least be 17 years of age by December 31, 2020.There is no upper age limit.

3.Qualification : Candidates must have qualified Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English as subjects.Candidates appearing for their class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to appear for the exam.

4.Minimum marks required in qualifying exam : Each candidate must have scored the following in their class 12 or equivalent in each subject and in aggregate:

:General category candidates - 50%

:PwD candidates - 45%

Additional Biology and Open School students : Candidates with Biology as an additional subject in Class 12 are also eligible.Students who have completed Class 11 and Class 12 from open school are also eligible.(Subject to any new guidelines that may be announced by NTA).

Number of attempts : No Limit.

(1)Photograph with file size 10 to 100 Kb in jpg format. Postcard size picture with a white background with name of the candidate and date printed below the photograph is mandated.

(2)Signature with file size 3 to 20 Kb in jpg format. Signature of candidate should be in black ink on white background and must not be in capitals.

While filling NEET 2020 application form, candidates must choose at least four exam cities in the order of their preference. NEET will be conducted in around 2546 exam centres in in 154 cities. It is also to be noted that the exam centre of NEET 2020 cannot be changed or modified after submitting the application form. NEET Exam Pattern 2020
