Charan Paduka Initiative: First of its sort propelled for Migrant Workers
Self-reliant India campaign under which migrant workers were covered extensively.
The government allocated Rs 20 lakh crore for the initiative. Under the initiative, the focus was on food and housing of migrant workers.
"Charan Paduka" campaign has been started by Madhya Pradesh for migrant laborers roaming the state.
Under this campaign, shoes and slippers will be offered to those laborers who go barefoot to ease their pain.
Started at Rau police station in Indore.
• The most notable thing is that this campaign is being carried out by the police in most places.
• Now this humanitarian initiative has spread to many cities of MP including Damoh, Umaria and Sagar.
